Vacation and Travel

Almost everyone likes vacations.
Getting away from your regular place for a while
to think about something else.
In the Netherlands or abroad.

I have been to several countries.
the Netherlands, Germany, Denmark, Sweden, Norway,
Poland, Czech Republic, Austria, Slovenia, Italy,
Switzerland, Spain, France, Luxembourg, England
and Belgium.

With my family but also alone.
Every country and region has its charms.
But baking in the sun all day is not for us.
Nature and culture are our trips away.
And that is also possible in the Netherlands.

In general, I stay in Europe.
It doesn't have to be in the EU like England and Switzerland.
But at least in Europe.

Sometimes we watch dutch TV shows such as
"Ik vertrek" (I am leaving) and "Droomhuis gezocht" (Dream house wanted).
Countries are often nice to go on holiday to, but not to live there.
There's nothing like the Netherlands.
Sometimes you really think, 'have you thought about that?'
Then people go for example to the northernmost point of Norway without
realizing that there is no sunlight for an entire season.
Or do people move to France without speaking a word of French.
I think immigration based on IQ can protect people.
In Switzerland, if you wash your car on Sunday you have a fine
in no time.
Sunday is a day of rest and working or doing activities on a Sunday is
really strictly forbidden.
So different rules apply in some countries.

Did you know that France is also a neighboring country of the Netherlands?
Besides Germany, Belgium and England, France is also a neighboring country.
This has to do with the island of Sint Maarten, a part of the island belongs
to the Netherlands and a part to France.
the Dutch part has the airport “Princes Juliana International Airport”.
the French part Saint Martin has the airport “Aeroport de Grand-Case L'Espérance”.
L'Espérance means hope.
